Cadillac XT5 2024: Redesign and Premium Luxury. After the last year’s update, we are pretty sure that the current generation of Cadillac’s mid-size crossover will remain in the current form for some more time. We are about to see a familiar layout, which hasn’t been essentially changed since 2016. Still, we won’t exclude the possibility to see minor changes for the Cadillac XT5 2024, such as new color options and more standard features. Anything more than that would be a real surprise.
All in all, you may count on a design that has a couple of pretty nice things to offer. Compared to the competition, this model stands out for its exceptional reliability. It is also spacious and comfortable, while the list of standard equipment is pretty long as well. On the other side, we don’t like its handling, while the interior quality should be better.
Since there are no significant updates to come for the next year, we presume that the Cadillac XT5 2024 will hit the market sometime late in the year.
Cadillac XT5 2024 Engines
The Cadillac XT5 2024 will continue with two familiar engine options in the offer. Base versions use a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which is good for about 237 horsepower. It offers pretty decent driving dynamics and it’s able to satisfy most drivers. Those who are looking for something peppier can pick an optional 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 310 horsepower. It is quicker and also runs smoother. Both engines come with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
When it comes to fuel economy, the turbo-four returns around 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The V6 is notably thirstier and returns 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
Cadillac XT5 2024 Redesign
The XT5 is among older models in the segment. It has been around since 2016 and we already saw a mid-cycle update, which has brought a couple of new grille designs, which are different depending on the trim level you choose. On the other side, the overall layout has remained the same. We are talking about a familiar layout, based on GM’s well-known C1 platform.
With such an architecture, you can’t expect some spectacular driving experience. Still, this crossover is comfortable and easy to drive. With 112.5 inches in wheelbase, it is quite typical for the segment, which means there’s enough space for the passengers as well. For the next year, we could see a new color option or two but anything more than that would be a real surprise.
Interior
The same thing goes for the interior design. Most of the things are about to remain the same, which means that you may count on a cabin that generally looks really nice. Still, when we compare it with rivals, it becomes obvious that this Caddy isn’t in the same league. Most rivals feature finer materials and higher overall quality.
On the other side, the amount of passenger space is more than generous. Both rows of seats are very spacious and accommodate adults with ease. We particularly like the front seats, which are massive and supportive. The driving position is pretty good, as well as the visibility.

When it comes to the cargo area, you may count on typical numbers for the class. There are around 30 cubic feet behind the second row. Once you fold it down, you get the total cargo volume of 63 cubic feet.
Features
Yearly updates usually bring few additions to the list of standard equipment, so we may expect the same from the Cadillac XT5 2024. However, we are also pretty sure that these changes will be minimal and that most of the things are about to remain the same. The current model already comes equipped very well, with goodies like dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. In higher trim levels, you can also get goodies like a sunroof, tri-zone climate control, wireless device charging, navigation, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, and a rear-seat entertainment system.
The same story is about safety features. Currently, all models come with goodies like a rearview camera, a safety alert seat, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning. Additionally, you can get a head-up display, night vision assists, a rear camera mirror, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane change alert, rear cross traffic alert, rear pedestrian alert, reverse automatic emergency braking, a surround-view parking camera system.
Cadillac XT5 2024 Release Date and Price
Considering that there are no bigger updates to come, we presume that the Cadillac XT5 2024 will hit the market sometime late in the year. The current model starts at around 44.000 dollars and we don’t expect a bigger increase for the next year. Key competitors are models like Acura MDX, Lincoln Nautilus etc
