The Audi’s most luxurious crossover arrived last year and it has brought a lot of interesting design solutions, which are the reason why we consider this model one of the finest SUVs around. Impressive interior quality, attractive styling and great driving experience are just some of the strong points this model has. So, it’s about time to see performance-oriented variants. Two of them are about to come in the near future. The first one is Audi SQ8 2024, which is about to hit the market this summer, while the range-topping RS-badged option is expected to be ready for the next year.
The SQ8 already debuted in Europe, with a monstrous V8 diesel engine. Of course, the Audi SQ8 2024 USA won’t come with an oil-burner, but rather with the same-sized gasoline engine. This will be a mid-range model, between standard models and RS versions. Besides the powerful engine, we expect it will come with various other upgrades. This version should hit the market in the summer.
Audi SQ8 2024 Engine and Performances
As we’ve just mentioned, this version won’t be as powerful as the RS model. Still, it will still be able to deliver impressive performances. In Europe, this model is already on the market and comes with a 4.0-liter V8 turbodiesel, which puts out around 430 horsepower and 665 pound-feet of torque. That’s enough to move this model from zero to sixty in about 4.8 seconds.
As you may presume, the North American version won’t come with an oil-burner. For this occasion, the Audi SQ8 2024 engine will be a 4.0-liter V8 gasoline unit. It features a max output of around 500 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. This version will be slightly faster and 0-60 time should go around 4.3 seconds. Of course, the engine comes in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission, while the great Quattro AWD system is standard.
Audi SQ8 2024 Design
When it comes to base design characteristics, the Audi SQ8 2024 will come with several exclusive details. Of course, the basis won’t be much different compared to standard models. Still, there is a full load of exclusive features to expect. In terms of the styling, this version will come with a more aggressive body kit, which includes bumpers, side skirts and other parts. Also, you may count on 21-inch wheels with low-profile tires and oval exhaust pipes, as well as on a new rear diffuser.

Upgrades will be available. Some of the notable optional goodies will be things like 2-inch alloys, Matrix LED headlights, red brake calipers and carbon-ceramic brakes etc. Of course, we expect that the new version will be available in a couple of exclusive color options.
Interior
If you are familiar with S-badged models from Audi, you know that the company from Ingolstadt doesn’t upgrade these versions that much. While the RS-badged models come with sporty interiors, these variants usually feature cabins that add just a couple of new features. The Audi SQ8 2024 interior shouldn’t be any different. So, all we expect to see are things like leather and Alcantara-trimmed sports seats, stainless steel pedals, unique stitching and similar things.
Other than that, we don’t expect to see any particular changes. That’s not a bad thing at all, considering that the base Q8 already features one of the finest cabins in the business, characterized by attractive styling, super-fine materials and loads of tech features. Of course, basic interior dimensions will remain the same. You may count on the same legroom, cargo space and more.
Features
When it comes to the list of standard equipment, we count on a couple of additions compared to standard models. First of all, you may count on goodies like two touchscreens, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, Bluetooth, four USB ports, a 10-speaker stereo, satellite radio, HD Radio, and tri-zone automatic climate control. All these things are standard in all versions, while the SQ8 exclusivities could be things like premium audio system, wireless charging and similar things.
When it comes to safety features, all models will come standard with things like a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking (Audi pre sense city), lane departure warning, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and automatic high-beam headlights. Additionally, you can get things like a surround-view parking camera system, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert (Audi side assist), lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition etc.
Audi SQ8 2024 Release Date and Price
As we already mentioned, the Audi SQ8 2024 release date is scheduled for this summer. When it comes to the price, we presume it will start around 90.000 dollars.
