BMW X8 2024: Price and Pics. If you thought that BMW’s lineup was completed with the full-size X7, you were wrong. There is one more to go and that will be the BMW X8 2024, the company’s new flagship crossover. Given the company’s naming policy, it’s not hard to presume that this will be a coupe version of the full-size X7, which will come with a sportier appearance and performance. However, some sources suggest we might also see some bigger revisions in terms of the styling, so the new model could actually look more exclusive than you would normally expect.
At this point, the new model is in the advanced stage of development. The test mule still wears a complete camouflage, but the basic contour can be seen with ease. On the other side, we will have to wait for BMW to take off the cover, to see if those rumors about the distinguish front end are true. The new model is about to hit the market sometime in the second half of the year.
BMW X8 2024 Engines
Once again, we don’t expect surprises. Base models should feature a familiar 3.0-liter turbo-inline-six, which puts out around 335 horsepower. Of course, you may also count on a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, which comes in a few output variants. The least powerful is good for 523 horsepower and should be able to move this large SUV in about 4.5 seconds. We count on the Alpina XB8 model, with a max output of 612 horsepower.
We could easily see a plug-in hybrid version in the offer, with a setup similar to the 745e model. This means it would be based on an inline-six engine, with a combined output of 389 horsepower. Still, we could see a little bit bigger battery pack, which would provide a decent all-electric range as well.
BMW X8 2024 Design
When it comes to base design characteristics, things are pretty easy to guess. When it comes to mechanics, the new model won’t be much different compared to the more conventional X7 model. You may count on the same variant of the company’s new CLAR platform. The wheelbase will probably be the same, though the BMW X8 2024 will probably be slightly shorter, as the rear overhang on the test model looks a little bit shorter.
In terms of the styling, the most obvious difference is on the rear end, which comes with a sloping roof design, which provides that coupe-like feel. The front end will most likely be the same as in the more conventional sibling, but there is a small chance to see a little bit different layout. There are some pretty interesting rendering photos on the network, which show a rather unusual headlights layout. Knowing that the Bavarian carmaker has recently come with a new grille layout for certain models, this may not be unlikely as it seems at the first look.
Interior
When it comes to the interior design, we have no doubt that the dashboard will be pretty much the same as in the X7. In this aspect, BMW is traditionally conservative and we presume that it won’t experiment with its future flagship model. Therefore, you may count on a familiar layout, which offers BMW’s typically-simplistic design, free of too many kitschy details. On the other side, the overall quality will be at an impressive level.
On the other side, the biggest changes will come in the rear part of the cabin. The third row will probably offer less headroom, due to the sloping roof design. For the same reason, the cargo area should also be smaller.
Features
Without any doubt, the BMW X8 2024 will be packed with a full load of standard equipment, especially when it comes to the latest tech goodies. We presume that the list of standard and available features will be pretty much the same as in the X7. All models should come standard with tech goodies like a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, quad-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, a 10-speaker stereo, HD Radio, satellite radio, two USB ports, navigation, remote start, proximity keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a universal garage door opener.

Additionally, you may count on things like gesture control, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo, a 20-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound stereo, a driving information recorder, rear-seat entertainment system, five-zone climate control, a bigger moonroof with LED lighting etc.
BMW X8 2024 Release Date and Price
We expect to see the BMW X8 2024 by the end of the year. The exact details about the pricing are still unavailable, but we presume that base models will probably go around 80.000 dollars.
