Dodge Durango 2024: Redesign and Release Date. Despite the rumors about the Dodge Durango 2024 redesign, the last-year update clearly indicates that the current generation will remain in production for a couple more years. It looks like we will have for a little bit more to see this model with a body-on-frame platform again. Meanwhile, you may count on a familiar layout. It has been updated for the 2024 model year, with both exterior and interior novelties.
All in all, you may count on an SUV that combines its muscular persona with everyday practicality. This model is powerful and easy to drive. At the same time, the cabin is spacious and comfortable, while we definitely like the new infotainment screen. For the next year, the best we could see are things like additions in terms of new features, and maybe new color options. All in all, we expect that the Dodge Durango 2024 will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.

Dodge Durango 2024 Engines
The Dodge Durango 2024 engine lineup shouldn’t change. Therefore, you may count on a plethora of powertrain options. The offer starts with a familiar 3.6-liter V6, which is good for about 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A well-known 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is next in the line, with a max output of 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.
Of course, you may also count on a bigger 6.4-liter HEMI V8, which in this case delivers pretty impressive 475 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Finally, you may count on the Dodge Durango 2024 Hellcat as well. This version has been recently added to the lineup and features a max output of 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
Dodge Durango 2024 Design
In terms of base design characteristics, the next year definitely won’t bring any particular change. This model may be old but still has a lot of things to offer. Of course, one of the things that come to mind is the styling. It has been updated for the 2024 model year. The new look includes things like a new grille, bumpers, wheels etc. It’s hard to expect any particular styling change for the next year.
Of course, we won’t see changes in terms of Dodge Durango 2024 dimensions either. This model is a mechanical twin of Grand Cherokee but has a notably longer wheelbase, which is good for nearly 120 inches.
The cabin also benefited from the recent update. We saw several interesting changes on the dashboard. There are new controls and everything is now more oriented to the driver. Of course, a big novelty is the new infotainment system, with a 10.1-inch touchscreen. The overall quality has been improved as well, so there are now finer materials. All in all, the Dodge Durango 2024 interior shouldn’t feature any particular novelty.

The aspect that definitely won’t change is the interior space, which has always been one of Durango’s strongest points. The first row is good for more than 40 inches of legroom, while the second one is pretty close to that figure. The third row is good for about 34 inches in legroom, so we could say it’s also quite adult-friendly.
The cargo area also features some pretty respectable numbers. You may count on about 17.2 cubic feet behind the third row. There are 43.3 cubic feet when you fold down the third row, and there’s a maximum of 85.1 cubic feet when you fold down both the second and third rows.
Novelties in this aspect are always possible, but we doubt the next-year Durango would come with too many additions. Base models should come standard with tech goodies like keyless entry, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, an 8.4-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, satellite radio, voice recognition, Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo, and four USB ports.
The list of options currently includes things like a sunroof, remote start, a 10.1-inch touch screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, navigation, Amazon Alexa, a nine-speaker Alpine premium stereo, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium stereo, a rear-seat entertainment system, wireless device charging, and two additional USB ports.
The list of safety features shouldn’t change too much either. So, a rearview camera will probably remain the only standard features. On the other side, the list of available upgrades would include goodies like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beams and more.
Dodge Durango 2024 Release Date and Price
We expect that the Dodge Durango 2024 will arrive in a typical time, sometime in the last quarter of the next year. When it comes to the price, the current model starts around 32.000 dollars and we don’t expect a bigger increase in the future. Some of the key competitors are models like Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mazda CX-9 etc.
