GMC Acadia 2024: Redesign and Release Date. The updated version of this mid-size crossover has been presented recently and that clearly indicates that the GMC Acadia 2024 will come without bigger changes. The recent update was a pretty major update, which included all kinds of changes. We are pretty sure, that the next year won’t bring any particular change. We are about to see the same design, as well as the same interior dimensions, which means you can count on a relatively spacious and comfortable vehicle.

Also, the engine lineup has been expanded recently, so the choice is wider now. On the other side, the aspect that could bring novelties is the list of standard equipment. We could see some additions, but we definitely don’t expect to see anything particular. All in all, there is no reason why GMC Acadia 2024 would come earlier than usual. We expect to see it in the last quarter of 2023.

GMC Acadia 2024 Engines

Once again, things are about to remain the same. Base models will carry on with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, which is good for 193 horsepower. It seems like a good choice for a daily ride, especially if we consider a pretty good economy that goes around 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which are some of the highest ratings in the class.

Those who would like something peppier can choose an optional 3.6-liter V6 unit, which delivers 310 horsepower, which in practice means pretty strong driving dynamics and good driving experience. Fuel economy is also quite decent, as you may count on about 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

There is new, recently added 2.0-liter turbo-four, which balances between V6’s performances and base engine’s efficiency. A max output goes around 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

GMC Acadia 2024 Interior Space

The GMC Acadia 2024 won’t feature any changes in dimensions, so we may count on the same numbers as in the current model. That means that you can count on a mid-size crossover, which features around 112.5 inches in wheelbase. That’s significantly shorter compared to the corporal sibling, Chevy Traverse, so we can say that the Acadia definitely isn’t the most spacious model in the class. It rather balances between interior space and maneuverability, in a similar way as the popular Toyota Highlander.

Therefore, interior dimensions are pretty typical. You may count about 41 inches of legroom in the first row, while the second row is good for about 39.7 inches. These are pretty typical numbers for the class. The third row is also typical tight for the class and you may count on 31 inches of legroom. These are not great numbers, but the interesting fact is that this is actually more than you get in the standard version of the full-size Yukon.

Acadia Legroom

Given the model’s size, it’s no wonder that many rivals offer more cargo space. In Acadia, you get around 13 cubic feet behind the third row, which is a subpar rating for the class. Things are much better when seats fold down, as the overall cargo volume goes up to 79 cubic feet.

Interior Design

When it comes to the overall interior design, the recent update hasn’t brought anything but a revised infotainment system, which now works better and comes standard with smartphone integration. Still, that definitely isn’t a bad thing, considering that the model looks pretty upscale from the inside. Materials are nice, while the dashboard looks pretty attractive.

The list of standard equipment is pretty long and includes things like a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, five USB ports, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot etc.
Also, another big novelty that came with the recent update is a new, electronic pushbutton shifter on the center console.

Styling

Styling changes on the GMC Acadia 2024 are not expected, as the recent update has brought a lot of novelties. This was a typical facelift, so the focus was on the front end. There is a new face, which includes a massive grille and new headlights, all inspired by the new Sierra pickup truck. You may notice new wheels and a couple of more details. Naturally, the range-topping Denali trim comes with various distinctive styling details, including a different grille, lots of chrome details, distinctive wheels etc. All in all, the best we could see in the GMC Acadia 2024 are new color options. Other than that, things will remain the same.
