Audi Q7 2024: Interior and Hybrid

Audi Q7 2024: Interior and Hybrid. The current generation of Audi’s three-row SUV is one of the oldest models in the class but we don’t expect that the Audi Q7 2024 could bring any particular novelty. After the 2024 refresh, we expect that the current iteration will remain in production for another year or two before we see a complete overhaul. This leads us to the conclusion that the best we could see for the next year would be minor updates in terms of new features and color options.

Other than that, things will remain the same. So, you may count on a familiar layout, which still has a lot of good things to offer, despite the age. First of all, we like the suspension setup that is very balanced. Also, the powertrain offer is good, while the interior is still one of the best looking in the class. There are three rows of seats, something you won’t get in any other Audi model. When it comes to drawbacks, we have to say that the third row is very tight. Also, this model has never been particularly impressive in terms of reliability.

Audi Q7 2024 Engines

We are pretty sure that the Audi Q7 2024 will continue with three familiar engine options in the offer. Base models will continue to use a 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. It’s not as smooth as some naturally-aspirated V6, but driving dynamics are quite similar. Still, we are pretty sure that most drivers would rather opt for a 3.0-liter turbo V6, which puts out 335 horsepower. For the most ambitious drivers, there is the SQ7 version, equipped with a 4.0-liter V8, which delivers a full 500 horsepower, which is enough to move this large SUV from zero to sixty in less than 4.5 seconds.

All three engines come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Audi Q7 2024 Redesign

When it comes to base design characteristics, the next year definitely won’t bring any novelties. The overall design is the same as in the 2015-year model, which means you may count on the VAG’s proven MLB platform, which also underpints corporal siblings like Cayenne, Bentayga and Touareg. What we particularly like about this Audi is that the suspension and chassis setup are very balanced, providing a ride that is both composing and comfortable.

Styling-wise, the 2024 update has brought a new front face, as well as novelties in other areas. The model looks fine and modern, with a lot of hints to Audi’s latest design language. The overall body shape still looks more like a wagon than a proper SUV, especially when compared to the Mercedes-Benz GLE class. When it comes to possible novelties, some of the things that come to our minds are new color options, but even that doesn’t sound particularly likely.

Interior

One thing is common for all Audi models– the interior looks great. The Q7 is no exception and we definitely like its hi-tech look. The cabin is full of nice materials, while the build quality is at an impressive level. We really like Audi’s digital instrument cluster, which is one of the best units in the business.

When it comes to comfort, there is really nothing to complain about. The front seats are massive and supportive, while the driving position is also quite good. The second row provides plenty of space, but we can’t say the same for the third one. Still, keep in mind that the lack of space in the third row is quite typical for all models in the segment.

The cargo area isn’t particularly impressive either. You may count on about 14.2 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 35.7 cubic feet behind the second row, and a total of 69.6 cubic feet with both the second and third rows folded. Most rivals are better.

Features

As we already mentioned, there is a chance to see a couple of novelties for the next year but we are pretty sure that most of the things will remain the same. The current model comes standard with a 10.1-inch upper touch screen, an 8.6-inch lower touch screen, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a navigation system, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a 10-speaker stereo, satellite radio, HD Radio, panoramic roof, keyless entry and similar things. So, it’s easy to conclude that there isn’t much room for bigger improvements. The potential additions are currently on the list of options and some of the features that come to our minds are goodies like quad-zone climate control, wireless charging, premium audio system etc.
