Cadillac Escalade-V 2024: Specs and Rumors. The new generation of the legendary full-size SUV has just arrived. The recent redesign has brought significant improvements in nearly every aspect, so the new Escalade is now one of the leading luxury SUVs on the market. It offers an impressive level of luxury, unparalleled interior space and practicality and pretty good performances. However, the latter could use some improvement, especially if we consider that German rivals have hi-performance versions in the offer. So, it’s no wonder that we are getting a lot of reports about the Cadillac Escalade-V 2024, a model that would challenge Mercedes-AMG GLS 63.

At this point, the officials are still quiet about this possibility. We can only rely on rumors and unofficial reports at the moment. Still, that won’t stop us from predicting how the hi-performance version of this huge SUV would look like.

Of course, the engine wouldn’t be the only major modification on this SUV. We would also see a lot of changes in terms of the chassis. Further reinforcements are expected, while we also count on a completely new suspension setup. Does this means that the independent rear suspension at the back would be replaced with something more rigid, it’s hard to say. In any case, this version would be stiffer and closer to the ground.

Cadillac Escalade-V 2024 Engine

Of course, this is probably the first thing that comes to mind. The standard model will carry on with the same 6.2-liter engine, which puts out around 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a new 10-speed automatic transmission which, along with notable weight reduction, does bring improvements in terms of performance. The new generation needs just 5.5 seconds to hit 60 mph, which is pretty respectable for a vehicle of this size. However, rivals offer more, as the aforementioned AMG GLE 63 is good for more than 600 horsepower.

So, what would be GM’s response? We believe there are two possibilities for the Cadillac Escalade-V 2024. The first one is to see Cadillac’s new 4.2-liter twin-turbo V8, which looks pretty promising on paper. The engine is extremely refined and the standard version puts out around 550 horsepower. So, it wouldn’t be particularly hard to get another 50-100 horses with it.

The problem with this unit lays in the fact that it’s a hand-crafted engine, which costs a real fortune. Obviously, it would make the Cadillac Escalade-V 2024 extremely expensive, too expensive to make a potential buyer picking a Caddy instead of Mercedes.

Therefore, the solution may lay in the Supercharged version of the 6.2-liter engine. This unit isn’t new at all. It has been powering Camaro and Corvette for years and seems more than appropriate for a Cadillac Escalade-V 2024. Moreover, it also sounds great. When it comes to figures, it delivers around 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. For comparison, that’s 47 horses more compared to GLS 63.

Naturally, we count on a styling that follows such performance. A lot of upgrades over the standard model should come. We would see unique wheels, lower-profile tires, new bumpers and similar upgrades. Of course, unique grille and color options also come to mind.

Interior

Upgrades would continue on the inside as well. Naturally, the first thing that comes to mind is a new steering wheel, but we also count on new materials, color schemes and similar things. Furthermore, we would probably see new seats, as well as some revisions to the dashboard. The prominent 3-screen system would definitely remain intact.

The best thing about all this is that the Cadillac Escalade-V 2024 would remain extremely practical. We are talking about a model that offers three extremely spacious rows of seats, which accommodate up to eight adults with ease. The first two rows offer way over 40 inches of legroom, while the third one is good for about 35, which is also quite respectable.

Don’t forget about the cargo area. This SUV offers 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the third-row seats and 72.9 cubic feet with the third row folded down. Folding all of the rear seats opens up 121 cubic feet of space and that’s something that no other luxury SUV can offer, except for the stretched Lincoln Navigator. Still, the Escalade also offers a long-wheelbase version, which offers more than 140 cubic feet of the cargo volume. In the case of Cadillac Escalade-V 2024 would probably be slightly lower, because of the different rear suspension setup.

At this point, the officials are still quiet about this performance version, but rumors suggest we could see it read for the next year. If it arrives, it definitely won’t be cheap. The current model starts at around 77.000 dollars, so the Cadillac Escalade-V 2024 would probably go deep into 110k territory
