Well, more power and torque also raise the maximum towing capacity. All trim levels that use a four-cylinder engine can haul 1,500 pounds, while the V6 increases the towing capability to 3,500 pounds. The premium fuel is required and the drivetrain sends power through a six-speed automatic transmission to all wheels for the Outlander GT. Paddle shifters offer a manual gear change.
Mitsubishi Outlander 2024 PHEV USA Range and Specs
The Outlander GT definitely offers the most power, but the most impressive model in the lineup is the plug-in hybrid. Mitsubishi and Nissan are partners for some while and this cooperation resulted in the PHEV SUV. Engineers combined a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a pair of electric motors.
A conventional source of power delivers 117 hp and 137 lb-ft of torque. The Electric unit on the front axle produces 60 kW (80 hp) and 137 Nm (101 lb-ft of torque). A battery on the rear axle creates the same power and 195 Nm (144 lb-ft). According to calculations, the total output will be 190 hp.
Batteries take 13 hours to recharge on the home outlets. By using the 240V/16A system, you will reduce this time to 3.5 hours. Fast charge system also offers a quick recharge– 80 percent in 25 minutes. The range of the Mitsubishi Outlander 2024 PHEV is 35 miles (55 km) by using only the electric power.
Features and Options
The new Outlander is available in ES trim as the entry-level package. A seven-seat and a 7-inch screen are interior highlights. Bluetooth connectivity, dual-zone climate control, and an electric emergency brake are standard parts of the trim level.
The SE model increases the size of wheels from 17 to 18 inches. Besides that, this package adds SDA audio system, FAST-Key passive entry system (with panic feature and push start button), a 3-month subscription to SiriusXM radio, and LED DRLs.
The LE trim adds another grand to the price, but it comes with blind-spot warning, lane change assist, and rear-cross traffic alert. Not so expensive for the higher level of safety it brings. The LE model also improves the overall look with sunroof and black pillars. Black is the color of bumper lower garnishes, door garnishes, and side mirrors.
Mitsubishi Outlander 2024 SEL and GT
Top of the class trim for the Mitsubishi Outlander 2024 is SEL. It includes all options mentioned for previous trims and adds more accessories. Choose an SEL package and you get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features auto-dimming rearview mirror and silver roof rails.
As said, the Mitsubishi Outlander 2024 GT uses a V6 engine. Leather seats and the premium audio are added to the SEL trim, which is not available with the larger drivetrain.
Mitsubishi Outlander 2024 Price
The 2024 Outlander is available for just $25,000. Each of the next two trim levels is adding around $1,000 to this price. The SEL model starts at $27,500. Premium ($ 2,000) and SEL Touring ($ 3,000) packages are available for upgrade. Of course, there is an AWD as well. The Outlander GT costs $34,000. Touring suite for this version costs $1,000 and AWD is standard. PHEV model starts at $37,000 and rises to $43,000 for the GT trim.
