Lexus LX 600 2024: Hybrid and Specs. The new generation of Lexus’ flagship model gets on the way if we can believe Japanese journalists. If we consider that the current model has been around for almost 13 years, there is no doubt that a lot of changes are about to come. We expect that everything will be changed and improved, starting from a new platform, new design, powertrain and loads of new tech goodies. Now, we don’t know too much about the Lexus LX 600 2024, but there are various unofficial reports that suggest interesting design solutions.
One of the first things that come to mind is the powertrain and among the things that sound confusing is the new nameplate. Also, we can only speculate about the styling and new dimensions, considering that the current model definitely needs improvements in these aspects. The same thing opts for interior design. We presume that the new Lexus LX 600 2024 will hit the market sometime in the next year.
Lexus LX 600 2024 Redesign
Obviously, the new powertrain won’t be the only major novelty to come with Lexus LX 600 2024. The upcoming redesign is about to bring novelties in all other aspects as well, starting from completely new mechanics. Obviously, the first thing that comes to mind is the platform. We have no doubt that the new luxury SUV will use the same platform as the upcoming Tundra. Most of the mechanics will be shared, though we count in a significantly more complex suspension setup, which would provide a premium driving experience. The new model should be notably lighter than the current model, which will also have a highly positive aspect on efficiency and performance.
Exterior
When it comes to the exterior design, the first thing that enters your mind is styling. We count on a completely new appearance, based upon the latest version of the famous spindle grille. Naturally, many styling solutions will be borrowed from the LC sports car, but there is no doubt that the new Lexus LX 600 2024 will keep its robust and truckish shape.
In terms of size, we expect that the new will be slightly bigger than the current one. The LX 570 is good for just a little over 112 inches in wheelbase, which isn’t particularly great for a full-size SUV. Some stretching will certainly happen, but definitely not too much, as we have no doubt that the company will tend to keep the new model super-capable in regards to off-roading, where too long wheelbase definitely isn’t a good idea.
Interior
On the inside, we expect to see a little of passenger room. In the outgoing model, the optional third row is really tight and we expect notable improvements from the Lexus LX 600 2024. More passenger room should be followed with more cargo volume, of course.
Besides more space, the new cabin will also come with a new layout. It’s still early to talk about details but we count on new dashboard design, with modern design solutions. We have no doubt that the overall quality will be impressive, just like it’s the case with the current model. Of course, the new model should also bring loads of new tech goodies, including a new infotainment system, which should be much easier to use.
Lexus LX 600 2024 Powertrain
As we’ve just mentioned, among the most intriguing things about the new generation is the new powertrain. The Japanese manufacturer has already trademarked the LX 600 nameplate and so far, the number has always been indicating the engine size. The current-generation LX 570 comes with a 5.7-liter engine. Obviously, the new name indicates a 6.0-liter engine but some sources suggest a different scenario.
According to most reports, the new generation of the brand’s flagship model will rather get a hybrid powertrain. If we can trust rumors, the new model would once again share the powertrain with the upcoming next-generation Tundra. We are discussing a system that will be based on a turbocharged V6 engine, coupled with a couple or more electric motors.

Allegedly, the max output would rise to at least 450 horsepower, while some upgraded hi-performance version is also possible. The power from the gasoline engine would be sent through a 10-speed automatic transmission and besides plenty of power, this system should be characterized by a pretty impressive fuel economy. Some sources even suggest something like 30 mpg combined, which would be by far the highest rating in the class.
Lexus LX 600 2024 Release Date and Price
We are still waiting to hear something from the officials, but we are pretty sure that the new model will arrive sometime in the second half of 2024. The current model starts at nearly 90.000 dollars and we expect a similar cost for the Lexus LX 600 2024. Of course, key competitors are models like Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz G Class, Lincoln Navigator etc
